Chinese Entrepreneurs Visit SEZ Platform
The SEZ hosted reps from three leading Chinese firms producing building finishing materials—aluminum cladding facades and interior setups. Chinese businesspeople evaluated production expansion in the special economic zone (SEZ), drawn by tax breaks and duty-free imports of equipment, raw materials, and components via the free customs zone.
"Novosibirsk, particularly the SEZ, offers Chinese companies prime access to Russia for market entry and local manufacturing. Key advantages: robust regional logistics/container hubs like Siberian TLC enable swift direct China supplies; outfit facilities without customs duties—but only on SEZ grounds," explained SEZ "Novosibirsk" CEO Alexander Nizovskikh.
Regionally, these yield jobs, tax revenue boosts, tech transfers, and deeper local supply chains. Thriving Chinese ops will lure further Chinese investment.
